How to do your Part to Support Environmental Protection Our environment needs our protection because it is in grave danger, and it is for us to help it in every way possible. One can do many things to save our planet that need not be big or heavy tasks. If we take certain steps, we will be helping our environment; we can also help ourselves. Try to consume less pork or beef. Eating fish or poultry also has an impact on the environment, but that is much lesser than the former. Going for organic sources of protein like nuts and soy are also quite less damaging to the planet. You can try to go meatless for one day a week, which will have a major impact on the environment. Try to buy products that you absolutely need. Going shopping unnecessarily has a bad effect on our environment. Each product goes through a series of steps like packaging, and each of these products requires individually wrapped packaging. This is responsible for generating a lot of trash which can damage our environment. Try to use energy-efficient bulbs that consume lesser energy than others. Try to conserve energy by turning off lights when not in use or reducing air conditioning machines' usage. This will not only save the environment but can also save some money for you. Do not waste water. This is a simple way of saving the environment because water is an important thing that we all require for survival. You can look out for ways to save water, like turning off the taps when not using or using the leftover water after boiling to water plants. Look out for products that can be recycled. Many brands sell products that can be recycled, which is extremely good for the environment. You can support such brands by buying their products and contributing to the betterment of the planet. Try to walk or go biking whenever possible. By reducing the usage of cars, you can help the environment by reducing pollution. You can also try and go for public transportation, or you can share a car and travel with your co-worker to your office. All these steps together can contribute to making our planet a better place to live in. Try to shop from your local organic stores or farmers rather than malls or big supermarkets. This will not only help farmers, but you will also get access to fresh organic vegetables and fruits. Try to plant trees in your community. It is an effortless and effective way of helping the environment. Can find a spot in your community and plant a tree. Try to encourage as more people as possible. By encouraging other people, you can create a group and go for local projects, and you can try to save the ocean, forests, and ecosystems. It is never too late to make efforts towards environment preservation. For Volunteering opportunities go to https://volunteer.appalachiantrail.org/s/volunteer-project-search for more information.
