Customers in the dealership showroom

So you found a new Chevy or another new car that you can’t live without. Time to head to the dealership, right? Yes! Well…almost. To avoid any hassle or delays, you must remember to bring these five things with you so you can easily drive off with the car you want!

  • 1. Your Driver’s License:

This is a no brainer. Not only will you have to have it on you while driving to the dealership, but you will definitely be required to have it while filling out all of the necessary paperwork. It is your number one proof of identification, and the process can’t start without it.

  • 2. Proof of Insurance:

Proof of auto insurance is also a must. You will not be allowed to purchase a car without the necessary documents related to your insurance. It is best that you call your agent beforehand to have everything ready before you visit the dealership. This will save you time as well as the dealer’s time.

  • 3. Proof of Employment:

If you are purchasing a vehicle through a loan, you will be required to produce proof of employment. The moneylender must be sure that you have a steady income and be able to pay off the monthly instalments. You can have your bank statement, and your recent pay stubs ready so that you can hand these over to the dealership as valid documents.

  • 4. Form of Payment:

You will be paying for the vehicle in some form of payment, and that must be told to the dealership beforehand. Whether it is through our customer-friendly auto financing, a credit card, or straight cash, the dealership must be made aware of this so that they are ready for you.

  • 5. Proof of Address:

Proof of Address is required because your monthly statements will be sent to your address. You can provide your electricity bill or your mortgage agreement as valid address proof.
