What’s New About The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado
One of the premier mid-size trucks which has been very popular over the years is the Chevrolet Colorado. This pickup truck comes with efficient technologies and powerful engine options in its latest avatar. Here’s a closer look at its latest features in detail.
Available Trim Levels:
The different trim levels of the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado are as follows:
- ZR2
- Z71
- LT
- WT
The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is available in a total of seven colors, among which Cherry Red Tintcoat is brand new. The depth of this paint is much better than the red shade on the previous edition of the truck. Extended Cab and Crew Cab configurations are available for this pickup truck.
Exterior Options:
Not too many changes have been made to the 2021 version of this vehicle, as compared to the outgoing version. Changes are present only on the outside. Front bumper design and the brand new black Chevrolet logo are new addition to the Z71 trim. Projector lights are also visible at the front.
17-inch designed alloy wheels with metallic inserts are also new here. All Terrain tires by Goodyear Wrangler are fitted on this vehicle. Taillights appear the same as the previous model. The embossment of Chevrolet on the tailgate is also different from earlier. Rear parking sensors are available as standard on the Z71. The sliding rear window helps to investigate the bed from inside the vehicle.
While the Z71 gets black door handles and rear bumper, the LT gets a body colored bumper and door handles.
Under the Hood:
Engine wise, different trims of the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado are fitted with the following engine options:
1)2.5 liter engine that delivers 200 hp of power and 191 lbs.-ft of torque
2) 2.8 liter Duramax turbo diesel I4 engine with 181 hp of power and 369 lbs.-ft of torque
3) 3.6 liter V6 engine with 390 hp of power and 275 lbs.-ft of torque
Two automatic transmission options are available for this vehicle- six-speed and eight-speed. The six-speed comes with the 2.5 liter engine only. Both 2WD (2 Wheel Drive) and 4WD (4 Wheel Drive) options are available, though some trim levels may offer only one or the other.
Interior Options:
The Chevrolet Infotainment System on the LT and above is available with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen display. A 6-way power adjustable driver’s seat makes it convenient to adjust the driver’s seating position. 4 people can be seated in the Extended Cab models and 5 in the Crew Cab models. Standard features on the inside include:
- Heated front seats.
- Heated steering wheel
- Real leather appointed leather seats
- Cloth upholstery
Front seats on the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado are very comfortable and can provide generous amounts of legroom and headroom. The driver gets a good view of the road, sitting high up.
The truck’s height may be a bit of a hindrance to get in, which can be simplified by the addition of running boards or step bars.
